What is a Class of Service or COS?
Every user has a Class of Service or COS attached to it. This class of service determines the behavior of the system for the user. The tables below give the default Class of Service available in SkyConnect and ClrStream.
SkyConnect Class of Services
skyconnectusercos | A user with the skyconnectusercos class of service is a user who has access to all the SkyConnect applications. This is the class of service to be used when adding users to your domain after the domain is live on SkyConnect. |
skyconnectadmincos | A user with skyconnectadmincos class of service has admin privileges and will have access to the Admin Panel in addition to all the other SkyConnect applications. This class of service should be used when adding an admin user after the domain is live on SkyConnect. |
prevsystemusercos | Users with the prevsystemusercos class of service instructs the application to deliver all messages for this user to the existing mail server hosting the domain. All users provisioned on the domain before Go Live should have this class of service. (With the exception of test or new users, who will have the skyconnectusercos or skyconnectadmincos class of service). During the Go live, this class of service should be changed to either skyconnectusercos or skyconnectadmincos. |

ClrStream Class of Services
clrstreamusercos | A user with the clrstreamusercos class of service is a user who has access to all the secondary mailbox. This is the class of service to be used when adding users to your domain after the domain is live on ClrStream. |
clrstreamadmincos | A user with clrstreamadmincos class of service has admin privileges and will have access to the Admin Panel in addition to all the secondary mailbox. This class of service should be used when adding an admin user after the domain is live on ClrStream. |
catchall_cos | This is a system value and should not be used. |
system_default_users | This is a system value and should not be used. |
Can multiple domains be managed via a single administrator console?
Yes. All domains belonging to a single organization are managed via a single administrator. The Admin Panel will list all the domains present.
How can we add new employees to an existing DL?
Yes. You can added new members, by giving the details one user at a time or uploading via an csv. The group membership is managed from the Admin Panel.
How to enable the Save to sent items option for my domain?
To see mail sent using Baya V3 in the Sent Items folder, you will have to enable the Save to Sent Items for the user using the Admin Panel.
To enable the Save to sent items option for your domain,
- Log in to the Admin Panel with valid credentials.
- On the left pane, click the Domain name
- Select the Mail settings
- Enable the Save to Sent Items
To enable the Save to sent items option for a user,
- Log in to the Admin Panel with valid credentials.
- On the left pane, click Users
- On the details pane, select the Mail settings
- Enable the Save to Sent Items
However to avoid duplicate mail in the desktop clients, you will have to disable the Save to Sent items feature on the desktop clients as given here (Thunderbird / Outlook).
Users are getting duplicate mail in sent items. How do we solve it?
To see mail sent using Baya V3/V4 in the Sent Items folder, you will have to enable the Save to Sent Items for the user using the Admin Panel.
Also, ensure that the domain level setting for Save to Sent Items is also enabled.
However to avoid duplicate mail in the desktop clients, you will have to disable the Save to Sent items feature on the desktop clients as given here (Thunderbird/ Outlook). Please do not change the settings for POP users.
